The list concluded by gaining facts and figures of pretax earnings of the EDM artists and producers from June 1, 2018, to June 1, 2019. The estimates are based on figures from Nielsen, Pollstar, Bandsintown, Songkick and interviews with industry as well as the DJs.
Surprisingly, this year Marshmello and The Chainsmokers dethroned Calvin harris from the first position that he was holding since 2012 on the annual Forbes Highest-Paid Entertainers list.
This year list came as a surprise to many as we saw drastic changes in the chart of highest-paid DJs, with the young and new artists making it to the top positions and dethroning many artists who were constantly on top this chart. Let’s have a look at the list.

Highest paid DJs of 2019- The Chainsmokers ($46 million)
“The ‘Chainsmokers’ found me early on, before anyone knew about ‘Hide Away,’ and reached out. I heard the demo for ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ and loved it. ” Daya
Their single “Closer”, featuring American singer-songwriter Halsey, became their first number-one single on the Billboard chart. The duo’s second EP, Collage, was released on November 2016. Their debut studio album, Memories…Do Not Open, was released on April 2017 and topped the US Billboard 200 chart. Their second album, Sick Boy, was released on December 2018.
Highest paid DJs of 2019- Marshmello ($40 million)
Marshmello’s highest-charting song on the Billboard Hot 100 and in the United Kingdom, titled “Happier”, a collaboration with British band Bastille, was released in August. He was named by Forbes in eighth place on their annual ranking of the world’s highest-paid DJs in 2017 as he earned $21 million in the twelve months prior to June 2017
Highest paid DJs of 2019- Calvin Harris ($38.5 million)
“Since I was 14, I wanted to make music, but I think I would also have made a good policeman. When I was eight, I wanted to be one so I could tell people off.” He appeared on Debrett’s 2017 list of the most influential people in the United Kingdom. He topped Forbes’ list of the world’s highest-paid DJs for six consecutive years from 2013 to 2018.

Highest paid DJs of 2019- Tiësto ($24 million)

DJing, touring, charity work – anything. ” Tiësto released his fourth studio album Kaleidoscope in October 2009, followed by A Town Called Paradise in June 2014. He won the Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical for his remixed version of John Legend’s hit “All of Me” at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.

That’s the way I do it.” Guetta achieved mainstream success with his 2009 album One Love which included the hit singles “When Love Takes Over”, “Gettin’ Over You”, “Sexy Bitch” and “Memories”, the first three of which reached number one in the United Kingdom. He has been called the “grandfather of EDM”.

Between the guy who’s phoning it in and the guy who’s obsessively working it to give you the best show of his life.” He is an American DJ, record producer, and remixer. DJ Times voted Kaskade “America’s Best DJ” in 2011 and 2013″. DJ Mag named Kaskade fifty-first on its 2009 list of Top 100 DJs.
Highest paid DJs of 2019- Skrillex ($13 million)
“To me, it’s always a joy to create music no matter what it takes to actually get there. The real evils are always whatever stops you from doing that – like if your CPU is spiking and you have to sit there and bounce all your MIDI to audio. Now that’s annoying!” In 2017, Skrillex produced and mixed 8, the eighth studio album by rock band Incubus. In July 2017, Skrillex released another single featuring debuting solo artist Poo Bear.

He was ranked 13th on DJ Magazine’s 2015 list of the top 100 DJs and number 20th in the year 2016 on DJ Magazine among the list of Top 100 DJs in the world. His debut full-length album Forever was released on 22 May 2015 by Def Jam Recordings.

This deal was later confirmed by 50 Cent on December 1, 2011. Being the first of the Jersey Shore cast to get his own spin-off show, Pauly D Project.

They are Belgian brothers- Dimitri Thivaios and Michael Thivaios. They were ranked No. 1 in 2015 and were ranked No. 2 in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018 on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list.
Steve Aoki is considered the most hardworking artist with over 200 shows within a calculative year, averaging six figures per night, along with streaming, endorsement deals with brands from Diesel to Samsung, and outside business ventures including his Dim Mak record label and clothing brand.
From the list, it’s evident that new talents are being recognized and are even becoming the highest-paid DJs and earning 6in six figures on an average per show. David Guetta has shifted below with $18 million and Calvin Harris lost his throne of being the highest-paid DJ that he was maintaining since 2012. Familiar names like Skrillex, Tiësto and David Guetta found their way onto the list of Highest paid DJs of 2019 as well. The top ten artists collectively brought in $272 million, an increase over last year’s figure of $260 million.
However, since the list of Highest paid DJs of 2019 was launched in 2012, none of the female DJ’s have made it to the list. This year Alison Wonderland was only a few million behind to make it to the list of Highest paid DJs of 2019. We hope to see female DJs to make it to the list of Highest paid DJs of 2019 as that would be an empowering experience.
